New Sailor Collar Seifuku Sweater

A new version of the sailor collar sweater has been added to the shop. Unlike the previous hoodie style, this sweater is more fashionable with a textured rib knit fabric, metal accented chest pocket, detachable plush bow, ribbed striped sailor collar, and sits above the hips. There are two bow colors available, the default Sailor Moon with a yellow center, or the standard red bow for additional purchase.  

Sailor Moon was the initial inspiration way back with the original hoodie design. The previous version was made from sweatshirt fabric, had a hood, a kerchief tie in the front, and was about hip length. It made another appearance with a small upgrade with fleece contrast. This latest version is an elevated look for casual wear and a just small step into semi-formal. 

Sailor uniforms are actually part of a Japanese fashion style called "Nanchatte Seifuku", translated as "just kidding seifuku". It glamourizes the school life of the female student, and traditional school outfits are paired with casual and trendy pieces like sneakers, hair accessories, jewelry, bags, and sweaters. It radiates the feelings of high school joy and relaxation and school nostalgia, with focus on friendship, learning, and personal growth.  Wearers of this trend exemplifies self-expression while exhibiting the youthful and schoolgirl aesthetic.
