Hex Girls Thorn Cosplay Costume Dress
An icon of Scooby Doo, Thorn is a recognized name from the 90's. Her first appearance in Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost solidified her as everyone's favorite eco-goth, as well as her subsequent appearances in later movies and shows.
The Thorn dress is made from a stretchy, swishy fabric, I wanted to use a fabric that would move with the wearer. The shoulder straps and belt are made from velvety fabric for a bit of contrast. I didn't want the belt to slip off easily and opted to have the belt asymmetrically sewn to the dress for security: Thorn cosplayers can sing and dance away without worrying about dropping any accessories.
Scooby Doo on Zombie Island and Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost were the best Scooby movies I felt were released. I think I still have the VHS of both from when I recorded them when it aired on Cartoon Network. Zombie Island had actual creepy moments (and the terror song!), and the Witch's Ghost had a decent plot, and of course introduced the Hex Girls.
