How to Make a Kingdom Hearts Passport Prop

Here's a tutorial for a fun prop for Kingdom Hearts fans! Make your own KH themed passport prop originating from Destiny Islands. Use it for cosplay photography or costume accents. If Sora had a passport, it'd probably be filled completely with all the traveling he does. ;)

You will need:

• Foil quill pen
• Gold foil transfer paper
• Glue
• Cardstock paper
• Navy blue pleather fabric (or any color)
• Artwork (download link)

Instructions:

1. Print out the artwork from the above link.
2. Glue the cardstock paper to the wrong side of the pleather fabric. Let it dry fully.
3. Cut the dried pleather fabric into a 5 inch tall x 7 inch wide rectangle.

   

4. Fold it in half, and use tape to secure it closed. Arrange the gold foil onto the fabric and tape it down if needed. Center the printed artwork and tape it down. Be sure to double check the gold foil is underneath the artwork.

   

5. Heat up the foil quill pen. When ready, SLOWLY begin to trace the artwork. You'd need to go slowly to allow the heat to transfer into the gold foil and into the fabric.
6. Carefully peel off the gold foil. [I made a bunch of mistakes so mine did not turn out that well, you'll do much better! :)]

   

7. You're done! I haven't tried adding additional pages inside and it should be easy to cut the paper down to size and stapling it at the center spine. I used a small bit of glue to keep it closed as a prop instead.
